Reasoning On Our Play:

We definetly like this play because, for one thing, it goes against the obvious and that is very important in this case. With this line the oddsmakers are begging you to play the Jets, and why not with all the trends backing them in this spot.
(The Jets are 25-9-1 ATS as an away underdog the last six years and 13-5-1 the last 19 road games against teams with a winning record.

The Redskins are 1-8 ATS in their first favorite role of the season and 4-16 ATS in the first month of the season)

And yet we're going with the Skins in this one....but why??? It's simple, they are at home laying a small number against a team that has lost its starting QB for the next 8-12 weeks. Yes yes, we know all about Testaverde being the back-up here but lets remember how this team started last season 0-3 with him at the helm so it doesn't really scare us to have him there. Granted he is much better than most 2nd string Qb's in this league but this Skins team will be hungry and fired-up for this game, the first of the season. You know Spurrier will want to do anything possible to get a win here and build confidence in his team that they truly can contend for the NFC East this season. And owner Snyder didn't invest his millions of dollars on those former-Jets players to see them lose to the very team he got them from. We repeat once again: THE SKINS WILL DO WHATEVER IT TAKES TO WIN THIS GAME!! We say Washington by a cool 10 points, 24-14 final!

Best of luck to all.

Just for the record and any of those interested and/or who follow our plays (this is just for football, both college and pros). We have decided to expand our unit-to-play range from 3 to 5. This means a 5-unit play is our highest rated play while a 1-unit play would almost be equal to a strong opinion or lean on a game. We feel this gives us more room or flexibility on our plays and the way we rate/post/play them this football season. Thanks to all and best of luck.
